The elevator uses a combination of cables and a piston to extend the rise of a hydraulic elevator by a ratio of 2 to 1. Roped Hydraulic Elevators eliminate the risk of drilling in unknown or poor soil conditions. In addition, they are environmentally friendly, since they eliminate jack corrosion and oil leakage through electrolysis.
The piston smoothly lifts the elevator cab. Electrical valves control the release of the oil for a gentle descent.
